What makes Critspark different?
IT'S A REAL GAME
Run by the engine, not the narrator
A tactical map for every fight, with cover, line of sight, and fog over what you haven't reached.
Monsters that focus-fire the wounded, break your concentration, and take cover from your archer.
A check you fail stays failed. You find what your roll finds.
Go down, fail your death saves, and that character is gone.
AND IT STAYS REAL
Kept as records, not held in the AI's head
your sheet, gold & hit points — actual records, read every turn
the people you've met still know your face, and what you did
factions keep their own count and make their own moves
come back sessions later — the world has shifted on its own
The game is holding cards you haven't earned yet.
The table
Critspark draws a real tactical map for every encounter, with its own cover and line of sight, and fog over what you haven't reached. The monsters are run by a combat AI with no interest in going easy: it focus-fires the wounded, breaks your concentration, and runs when the fight turns against it. A fight that's too soft gets scaled up, not waved through. And death counts. Your crit is a real crit. Your last hit point is really your last.
Your character sheet, your gold, your hit points, the people you've met: Critspark keeps them as actual records, not as something the AI is trying to hold in its head between messages. That's why your fighter doesn't wake up as a different race mid-conversation, your gold doesn't drift to fit the mood, and the lord you insulted still knows exactly who you are the next time you walk into his hall.
You don't need five adults and four free hours to line up before anything happens. Start a solo campaign right now and go. Or send your friends a link and let Critspark run the table, so nobody has to be the one who never gets to play because they're always the DM. Solo or multiplayer, it's the same game either way.
Every class is ready to play out of the box. And if the subclass you had your heart set on isn't one of the ready-made ones, the homebrew tools let you build it — subclasses, races, spells, items, backgrounds, feats — and it runs by the same rules as everything else, not as loose text the AI has to interpret.

Critspark is in a small, invite-only beta. We're opening it up slowly, a handful of players at a time, so we can watch how it plays at real tables and fix what needs fixing before the next group sits down. Leave your email and we'll be in touch as spots open up.
